The latest Xbox + Bethesda Showcase has illustrated to deliver on some of the most popular genres in the industry. In that, Bethesda Game Studios did not hold back with Starfield featuring footage stretching from the massive RPG mechanics, an overhaul to the Creation Engine, and even welcomed in the expansive customization options as well. Additionally, fans are racing can stay occupied with the first footage for Forza Motorsport was also revealed then too.
Elsewhere during the presentation, Microsoft has teamed up with Kojima Productions to work on a new unique project for Xbox Cloud Gaming extracting one of the most creative minds in Japan to work on the Xbox platform. Atop of that, developer Arkane Studios also featured its Left 4 Dead-like, open-world co-op experience with Redfall as well.
To fill the stomach of real-time strategy fans, Oxide Games revealed Ara; Untold History. Originally, the game was reported to be in development under the alias ‘Project Indus’, but is now officially in the public eye. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:
“Ara: History Untold, built by a team that includes many of the leads behind one of the most popular historical grand strategy games of all time, invites players to build and lead a nation throughout global history as they explore new lands, develop arts and culture, conduct diplomacy, and go head-to-head with rivals to prove they are the greatest leader ever known,” Livvy Hall, Xbox Game Studios Publishing Community Director explains.
“Players will become the architect of a dynamic, living world fully rendered and brought to life through the power of Oxide’s proprietary Nitrous Engine, where their play style and decisions will shape the world they create, the lives of their people, and their legacy as a leader.” While a release date was not shared, Oxide Games has started the Ara: History Untold Insider Program which will go live later in 2022 for players to test the game themselves.
