When it comes to Xbox this past week, fans that were waiting patiently for a reveal of the Xbox Series X got exactly what they were asking for. Since the console’s announcement back in December, followers anticipating to purchase the next-generation unit explicitly awaited for the official price point and release date for the hardware. Alongside that, fans are also intrigued as to what the lower scale Project Lockhart will be as well.
And as you can tell from the continued chatter, Xbox Series X received its proper release date alongside disclosing for the Xbox Series S. The beefier unit will run for $499 while the latter is only priced at $299 when it hits store shelves in the second week of November. Microsoft also told that pre-orders can be processed later this month on September 22.
But ahead of the listings going live to do so, retailer La Source from Canada already has a page up for the new console. Even more, the storefront while offering images of the unit also displays an image of the bottom of the Xbox Series X and the packaging for the November-scheduled system.

Gathered from the image of the package for the Xbox Series X (header), it illustrates a closer look of the top portion of the unit on the front while the left side presents the full image of the Xbox Series X. It is presumed the two other sides offers the specifications for the unit and will disclose the capabilities for the next-generation console.
Most evidently noted from the packaging is the logos and text printed on the front side of the box. That being the associated ‘Series X’ signature, Velocity Architecture sign, “1 TB SSD”, and also advertising to be capable of 4K resolution with 120 frames per second performance. All already proven to be achievable benchmarks that the Xbox Series X can meet.
As of yet, the packaging for the Xbox Series S has yet to surface, but it is presumed that the box for the unit will be of similar degree. For design wise, it is expected the same can be illustrated to advertise the system. But in size, it would be practical for Microsoft to craft a more compact package since the hardware is 60 percent smaller than its sibling Xbox Series X.
Elsewhere recently, Microsoft also announced that the release for the Xbox Series X & Xbox Series S will kick off a new permanent promotion for Xbox Game Pass: EA Play will be included for all subscribers on console and PC. You can read the full report by heading here.
