PUBG Corp. Teases Season 8 With Return To Sanhok, Hits PC On July 22 & July 30 For Consoles/Stadia

The continuously growing battle royale that is PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds this past April was met with its seventh season update reiterating on the fan-favorite map Vikendi and introducing the always-moving train to the map. Even with snow being scraped from the surface, the map continues to breath in new life with the additions that came with Season 7.

But now as we tread into the summer comfortably, PUBG Corp. is preparing to reveal its next set of plans for the game. In that, the developer is underway to ship Season 8 in the coming weeks. The studio used its platform during today’s Stadia Connect to announce that Season 8 will officially be arriving on July 30 – the last Thursday of this month.

For those who might be questioning the significance of PUBG Corp.’s partnership with Google, it was not too long ago that the game was featured as a free title for Stadia Pro earlier this year. So it is presumed that both firms look to continue its relationship with collaborative projects or events such as today’s Stadia Connect.

Elsewhere, PUBG Corp. for the last day or so has been poking at the coming new season for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds prior to the reveal this afternoon. In that, the team uploaded a video sharing that Season 8 will hit PC next Wednesday with console users expecting the update to ship at the end of the month. With that, it is now clear that Stadia will also be joining the later party with its console counterparts.

The studio also uploaded a separate video which indicates that the new focus for the approaching season will be Sanhok. The video titled ‘Return to Sunhok’ is evident enough to understand if not for fans who could instantly put the pieces together from the few segments spared in the video.

In other PUBG-related news, Google announced that with the debut of its Click to Play feature, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be supported for the new addition alongside The Elder Scrolls Online. You can read the full report by heading here.
