With June being unusually quiet for Microsoft and most of it being because of the COVID-19 Pandemic cancelling E3. Sony has done their PlayStation 5 showcase, now all eyes are on Microsoft. It is reported that we will see a first-party games showcase for Xbox Series X the week of July 20.
According to video game outlet, VGC via their own sources is that this event is planned for July 23, but this could change to another date within that week. While this showcase will focus on games from Xbox Game Studios, we will see titles coming from third-party publishers.
As stated by Andy Robinson, journalist for VGC, one of the recently created Xbox Game Studios ‘The Initiative’ will show off what they’ve been working on and it’s supposed to be very impressive.

The week of July 20th timeline originally came from insiders Jeff Grubb and Tom Warren.

One first-party title that Microsoft is going to be featuring the most during the show will be Halo Infinite. This will be the first time that we see a Halo game launch with a brand new Xbox console. According to a tweet recently, Halo Infinite was aimed to steal the show at E3 2020 and we still believe this will be the goal for the upcoming Xbox 20/20 event. If there is one weapon that Microsoft has in regards to their competition of Sony and Nintendo it’s Halo.
It will be interesting to see what happens with this upcoming games showcase for Xbox. Another report came out not too long ago that Microsoft will announce the Xbox Series S known as Project Lockhart in August.
