Both truly re-visioned the initial releases from over two decades ago delivering a new palette of visual fidelity thanks to Capcom’s in-house RE Engine and that does not stop there. Previously, next-gen enhancements hit for said titles.
This March, Resident Evil 4 Remake is also set to hit store shelves for the newest console hardware. But, that is not the only Resident Evil 4 content players received in recent time. For the Oculus Quest 2, Capcom shipped a dedicated virtual reality port of the classic 2004 title. But now, the new remake is getting the same treatment.
In a new string of tweets online, the official Japanese Resident Evil account announced Resident Evil 4 Remake is getting a PlayStation VR 2 mode. “VR mode of ‘Resident Evil RE: 4’ has started development! VR mode of ‘Resident Evil RE: 4’ will be distributed as free DLC for PlayStation5 / PlayStationVR2,” both tweets read auto-translated.
Noted, that is not the only content from Resident Evil hitting PlayStation VR 2 either. Previously, Capcom announced that Resident Evil 8 Village is to receive a PlayStation VR 2 update as well. Even more is that alike Resident Evil 4 Remake, the same update for the 2020 title will be free of charge for owners of the game on PlayStation 5.
