The Nintendo Switch is a beacon for success when it comes to marketing and appeal since its release back in 2017. But, where it lacks is the sheer power the machine produces compared to its competitors. Despite that, the system has sold more than 100 million units. Since then, we’ve witnessed impressive ports and triumphs to get modern releases on the platform. But, the most surprising is the implementation of cloud streaming.
This was introduced with the debut of Control – Cloud Edition which launched almost two years ago. The game obviously does not natively run on the platform, but is playable directly to your device with a constant internet connection. Later on, we saw the same attention being given to Dying Light 2 alongside a compilation of Kingdom Hearts games (Kingdom Hearts – HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, Kingdom Hearts III).
From the recent September 2022 Nintendo Direct, Capcom announces Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7 are all receiving cloud versions for Nintendo Switch. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“Rest while you can because she will hunt you. The latest installment in the Resident Evil series is coming to Nintendo Switch! Ethan Winters must face the horrors of the village and its four fearsome lords to rescue his abducted daughter,” Nintendo writes for the game’s synapse. Resident Evil 8 will debut the roster next month whilst the latter remains listed for a 2022 launch elsewhere.
Additionally, this is not the only news for some of these announcements recently. Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7 all faced Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 upgrades earlier this summer for the new consoles. You can read the full report by heading here.
