In the past week, Resident Evil makes new waves across the internet with the reveal of Resident Evil 4 Remake. The beloved 2004 release from Capcom still remains to be one of the most sold and versatile releases from the publisher since the game’s initial launch. But, that is not the only game receiving attention in the past week as well.
This Monday, Capcom held its own self-named Showcase revealing new projects and other plans coming from the publisher. Amongst that, Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 Remake, and Resident Evil 3 Remake all received an overhaul for the newest Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 hardware which launched for free then.
Additionally, Capcom also unveiled Resident Evil 8 Gold Edition. With that also showcased the first story add-on ‘The Winters’ Expansion’. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“Set 16 years after the events of Resident Evil Village, Shadows of Rose is a new tale that follows Rose Winters, the daughter of main protagonist Ethan, as she struggles with her terrifying powers. You’ll explore and survive a warped and mysterious realm inside the consciousness of the Megamycete in search of a cure,” the overview for the DLC reads.
“This new story content isn’t all the Winters’ Expansion has in store. TheMercenaries Additional Orders is an update to the classic arcade action mode bringing new stages and new playable characters – Chris Redfield, Heisenberg, and yes, Lady Dimitrescu herself!” Capcom also added a new third-person mode for Resident Evil 8 as well.
