Believe it or not, it has already been more than a month since the initial PlayStation 5 showcase that took place right before the start of the summer. After nearly half a year since Sony unveiled the logo for the next-generation console, followers have been starved for new information regarding the system’s appearance and games that will be addressed for the new hardware uniquely coming this holiday season.

However, while fans received last month’s live presentation to be a good start for what is perceived to be a string of shows to follow, it was reported later on that the firm did withhold some announcements in favor for a later show with a more lasting impression. Eurogamer Tom Phillips disclosed that the projects left out of June’s show will make an appearance in a coming State of Play this August.

But as you could probably guess, the date for the aforementioned showcase was left out leaving fans in the dark for when to expect more PlayStation 5 news. But in this new start for the waiting game, there might already be date to expect said announcements. Business analyst Roberto Serrano disclosed on Twitter to mark your calendars for this coming August 6 where the show will be taking place.

Previously, Serrano has spoken on other matters regarding the PlayStation platform that Rectify Gaming has reported on. In early July, he was the source for revealing that the Infamous domain was renewed; presuming that the series could face a new entry soon. Howbeit, that has yet to be proven accurate with Ghost of Tsushima just releasing from Sucker Punch Productions just last week, so it is left as conjecture.

As for the recent statement Serrano has made, it can also be framed as such until Sony Interactive Entertainment properly discloses the date for the presentation. Regarding the contents of the unannounced presentation, Rectify Gaming had supplied receipts which point out that a Silent Hill project will not be among the announcements. However, A re-release of Bloodborne does look to be a likely candidate following chatter of industry insiders.

What do you hope will be unveiled during the next State of Play presentation?
