Rumor: Starfield is possibly delayed again

We are barely a month into 2023 and Starfield has been the talk of the year. Recently, Microsoft announced a Developer Direct taking place on January 25th, but it won’t feature upcoming Bethesda title, Starfield. A recent rumor suggests the the game could be delayed again.

This report comes from MrMattyPlays from the ‘Defining Duke Podcast‘ where he says that Starfield could be delayed again to the second half of 2023 so Bethesda can apply finishing touches to the game.

Matty also claims that his source that passed along this information has “never been proven wrong”. Thanks to Insider Gaming for pointing this out.

This would be surprising to some since there was speculation that the game could be launching in the first half of 2023. With Xbox Game Studios coming out with Redfall and other games in the next few months, it could be a good thing that Starfield gets the extra attention in development.

We will see over the next several months if the game will actually be delayed to the Holiday season or near that area.

Starfield was originally planned for a November 11, 2022 release and all we know is that its planned for release sometime in 2023.
