Exploring recent events for the PlayStation VR 2, Sony Interactive Entertainment just broke the sound barrier revealing the new headset is set to release next year. In February 2023 after spending roughly $549, the new peripheral will be officially out. According to the specifications for the headset itself, the screen is on OLED display with refresh rates in 90hz & 120hz. Additionally, there are four cameras for tracking the headset and controllers as well as an infrared for eye tracking.
Concerning what will release on the platform, we knew since the beginning of it all that Guerrilla Games is crafting together Horizon: Call of the Mountains. Moreover, titles like The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution, Resident Evil 8, and No Man’s Sky also received support. Out of the near dozen, there are two surprising reveals from the announcement. First is Smilegate’s Crossfire: Sierra Squad. Just this year, the firm officially released CrossfireX which was a unique release across Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S and PC. Now, the firm is working to craft an exclusive release for the PlayStation VR 2 is a baffling turn of events.
Second being The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR. The team at Supermassive Games did work on Until Dawn at the start of the PlayStation 4, but moved onto multiplatform games with The Dark Pictures Anthology.
