Stadia Partners With Harmonix, Supermassive Games, And Uppercut Games For Exclusive Projects Coming To The Platform

Nearly a month ago, Google announced that the firm would be hosting a very soon Stadia Connect arriving later in July to showcase the next slew of additions and news for the platform. In the heat of the scheduling for the livestreamed presentation, it was unsure what exactly could be underway for the platform. Of course, it is expected that the Stadia would showcase new games that would receive support for the cloud-based platform.

However, there was also speculation to suggest that news regarding Stadia’s exclusive lineup would also be shared as well in the coming virtual show. Previously, it was reported that Stadia would announced over a handful of exclusive projects before July, so it was expected that reveal would be saved for the approaching livestream.

So today, Stadia has announced that it has bridged some new partnerships. Teaming up with Harminix (Rock Band 4), Uppercut Games (City of Brass0, and Supermassive Games (Until Dawn).

Hamonix: the masters of music. delivering Rhythm and passion to everything they do.

Uppercut Games: specializing in environmental storytelling and boundless creativity.

Supermassive Games: the masters of horror gaming. Bringing ten years of award-winning expertise to Stadia.

Following the partnered projects that will be coming exclusively to Stadia, the contents of each title respectively has yet to be shared. It is expected that we will hear more of these games from Google in the latter parts of 2020 or seeping into the year following. There is also no detail on what is currently underway from Stadia’s Playa Vista studio helmed by former Santa Monica Studio head Shannon Studstill.

The same can also be said for the recent acquisition of Typhoon Games. Stadia Games & Entertainment previously acquired the Journey to the Savage Planet team back in back in December to work on a new project for the platform.
