In a new commercial posted to Nintendo’s Youtube channel, a quick shot of the ‘Games & More’ section of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate menus reveals that the Stage Builder mode will be making a comeback. Stage Builder debuted in 2008’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl and also appeared in the more recent Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Stage Builder, as the name implies, allows you to create stages to battle on using a variety of pre-made pieces and even let you draw them on the Wii U’s GamePad. As of now, it is unknown just how much customization the mode will offer in Ultimate, but we’d expect more pieces than ever, as well as the ability to share levels with friends and even play online.

Whether or not this was an intentional tease or a mistake on Nintendo’s part remains to be seen. With the 3.0 update looming by the end of this month, along with the inclusion of Persona 5‘s Joker to the roster, it has to be announced sooner rather than later. With rumblings of a Nintendo Direct soon, as well as the high probability of Persona 5 on Switch, we should be hearing much more very soon.
