Developer Team Sonic’s annual tradition of hosting a panel at SXSW in Austin, Texas was squandered away as the event was ultimately cancelled due to the swelling problems that tails behind the novel coronavirus outbreak. But despite the setback made inconvenient for anticipating fans, Team Sonic clarified that the studio will proceed with sharing the plannd news the following month.

However, coming days from the expected news drop for this coming April 20th, associated with the monthly Sonic 2020 Initiative, Team Sonic announces that the shipment of news will be held off until the connotation impacted by COVID-19 clears up.

As of now, the developer did not share a date for when exactly Team Sonic deems suitable to disclose the information initially planned to reveal last month. “We’ll let you know as soon as we have a date,” the recent tweet ends.

Studio Head Takashi Iizuka told that Team Sonic is already preparing for the game in anticipation for the series’ 30th anniversary.

Other suggested implications that have floated around come from a few rumors that proclaim Sonic Adventure will be receiving a remake.
