Texas Chain Saw Massacre To Ship This August Alongside Xbox Game Pass, Technical Test Coming In May

When it comes to Gun Interactive, the firm showed to lead a trend in terms of online, licensed titles over the past handful of year. Reflecting back to the release of Friday The 13th: The Game, it proved to be a hit for many players with the use of properties to expand in a new medium. And while the outcome shuttered the game entirely, other teams followed in a similar path.

For instance, the team that developed the aforementioned title went on to ship Predator: Hunting Grounds and not to mention the upcoming Killer Klowns From Outer Space title that is also in development as well. So far, Gun Interactive is going full circle with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre title on the way.

According to a new trailer revealed by IGN, the game is scheduled to release later this summer for Xbox Game Pass with a technical test to take place on May 25 this spring. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“Take on the role of one of the notorious Slaughter family, or their victims, in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, a third-person asymmetrical horror experience based on the groundbreaking and iconic 1974 horror film,” the description for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre reads on Steam from the official page.

“As a victim you must use your wits and stealth to stay out of the Family’s reach and find the tools you need to lead to your eventual freedom. Slaughter Family players must seek out, track down, and stop their guests from escaping. Players of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre can finally find out if they have what it takes to survive.”
