The Fallout TV Series Receives 16 Emmys Nominations

Back in April, Fallout-mania took place as fans of the Bethesda video game series as well as new viewers were energetic surrounding the popular RPG series. Of course, this is thanks to the Amazon Prime Video TV show that aired its first season. Within a two weeks time, it generated more than 65 million views and was even ranked #1 worldwide on the platform at the time.

It was not long as Amazon went ahead to greenlit a second season for the show. With plenty of lore to explore and many storyline left unanswered by the finale – fans are certainly ready to return for another watch. Speaking to the showrunners, The Hollywood Reporter learned that Fallout could face a lifespan of five seasons in total to tell its entire story.

On the surface, the impression Fallout has made on the entertainment industry is paramount. But what’s more is the impact it also made on the franchise itself. One of the biggest unanswered questions is how Obsidian Entertainment’s Fallout: New Vegas ties to the universe. And speaking to IGN, Todd Howard – who was part of the writing team for the show – confirmed that the show cements the 2010 game as canon.

What’s more, this is another major year for video game adaptations. In 2023, HBO’s The Last of Us was the talk then with another season on the way. But what showed the weight it left was winning eight Oscars. You can read the full report by heading here.
