While many of the world is deprived for new and exciting announcement especially following the continued string of lockdowns and urgency to social distance for majority of 2020, this year’s Game Awards just became more exciting. In a new announcement on Twitter, the show’s official page revealed that developer BioWare will be present at the Thursday awards show.

In the tweet, the organizers tell that there will be an “exclusive new look” for BioWare’s coming Dragon Age 4. For those that might not remember from years prior, 2018 specifically, The Game Awards is where the Mass Effect developer announced a new Dragon Age game is in development. But since, there has been little to no information to give context on this upcoming sequel for the series.

Most interesting in regards to Dragon Age as of recent is that Mark Darrah, Executive Producer for the franchise, announced to be retiring from BioWare. Him alongside studio General Manager Casey Hudson both disclosed to be grateful for their time working at BioWare as the pair share to be departing from the game studio.

In previous months, Darrah happened to be the only individual to relay any information on Dragon Age while BioWare is radio silent on its development. In July on a Twitter post this year, Darrah reassured any impatient fans that the new game is still in development at the time. Doubt fell upon the game as the firm was understood to be working on multiple projects currently.

In addition to that, BioWare the following month during the Gamescom Opening night Live virtual show presented a brief developer diary for the coming Dragon Age project.
