Fans certainly have not forgotten the 2019 announcement that came from Nintendo at The E3 Direct then; It was a sequel for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The game shares the same artistic choices for the title’s appearance, but introduces a new and darker telling of the story. Oddly, an official title was not given then.
Following to 2021, Nintendo shared a first-look at this new follow-up which welcomes a new inverted world. The game appears to be in similar fashion to The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask like that game was to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. After that, Nintendo made the saddened announcement that the upcoming sequel will be releasing now in 2023.
From the recent Nintendo Direct, Nintendo shared the game is slated to release in May 2023 under the title ‘The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:
“In addition to the vast lands of Hyrule, the latest entry in the storied Legend of Zelda series will take you up into the skies!” the brief overview for the new sequel reads over on the Nintendo eShop. Other obvious details includes its release date alongside support for Tabletop, Handheld, and TV modes like most games.
Elsewhere previously, word broke out that Nintendo was working on a remastering for both The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
