At least when discovering that Nintendo will be attending E3, it was already on many fans’ priorities that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will be making an appearance at the annual showcase. Already, Nintendo went on to announce that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is hitting the Nintendo Switch this year, so the new reveal would only stack on to in celebration for the franchise’s 35 years.
Alongside the port for the Nintendo Wii title, it was also stated that new information on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is to be administered at a later date. So, fans were already holding the pre-conception there will be a reveal of some sorts later on for the coming show. Even Nintendo of America CEO Doug Bowser told there will be some interesting announcements made at the approaching presentation as well.
To close out the show, Nintendo presented fresh footage for the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 which you can watch from the segment of the livestream in the video below:
“Two years has passed since we first announced this game and we have been unable to share anything with you in that time,” The Legend of Zelda series Producer Eiji Aonuma shares during the show. “However, development has been steady progressing. For today, we’ve prepared new footage to show a bit more of the game.”
One announcement that did shatter expectations was the announcement for long-cancelled game Metroid Dread. While there were claims a new 2D game was to be announced soon, it was not presumed to be a revival of an abandoned release initially planned for the Nintendo Ds.
