Three Call Of Duty Games, Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War, Vanguard, Now Available On Steam With Limited-Time Discount

For what appeared to be taboo became the norm when publishers decided to shelve sales on PC storefronts for its own launch browser. Companies like Electronic Arts, Bethesda, and Activision participated in such approaches with its titles for over a handful of years. But in recent times, both Electronic Arts & Bethesda retraced its steps on this measure which showed to be more of a headache than anything for players.

As for the Call of Duty publisher, the firm is acting in a similar fashion this past fall. The company told it will be selling Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II on Steam for the first time for the franchise in over a decade. It is unsure if this was a change of heart or rather the weight of the ongoing Microsoft transaction making an impression. Since this decision, PC sales for the latest release has more than doubled of previous installment, the firm told.

Now this week, Activision is shipping more games to Steam. In that, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Call of Duty: Vanguard are all available for the Valve storefront. Moreover, there is a limited-time sale for all three titles that will be active until March 23rd later this month.

“Experience a visceral Campaign or assemble your team in the ultimate online playground with multiple Special Ops challenges and a mix of Multiplayer maps and modes,” the description for Modern Warfare reads. “Black Ops Cold War, the direct sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops, will drop fans into the depths of the Cold War’s volatile geopolitical battle of the early 1980s. […] Call of Duty: Vanguard includes a deeply engaging single player Campaign, a massive Multiplayer offering featuring over 20 maps including 16 built for core Multiplayer and an exciting new Zombies experience developed by Treyarch.”

Looking ahead for Call of Duty, it is likely the next full release is to also ship day one for Steam. In terms of what the next game will be, Insider Gaming reports the new game developed by Sledgehammer Games is to be a connected experience to 2022’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and will ship in November this fall.
