Treyarch Lays Out Schedule For Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Betas Starting In October

Just short of three weeks, developer Treyarch and publisher Activision pulled the drape to reveal Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The firm unveiled that rather than the newest entry in the first-person shooter would not be a remake as initially rumored for the series’ Black Ops subgenre, it would instead be a direct continuation of the titular 2010 title. Set in the early 1980s, players will find familiar faces among new settings to explore in the new campaign.

As for the online multiplayer that stands as the frontrunner for the franchise, Treyarch disclosed that more will be unveiled later on with a scheduled reveal to take place later in September. And it so happens that the day has finally arrived and the studio dishes out the first official look at the game’s online matchmaking.

Reflecting on the initial reveal of the November-slated title, Treyarch disclosed that a beta will be taking place later on for PlayStation 4 users to indulge in. It is presumed that PC and Xbox One players can also sample the game during a later session. As expected, a scheduled has been revealed for the Black Ops Cold War beta.

Users that pre-order will instantly be provided early access to the beta on all platforms during respected times. In addition, the beta will also support cross-platform play between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Elsewhere recently, Treyarch unveiled that as part of the Call of Duty League a new change will be made to the addition of Black Ops Cold War later this year.
