While the wait for a game to match the same level of Left 4 Dead has been a dreadful decade now, that patience is finally showing its value as developer Turtle Rock Studios is returning with a new successor: Back 4 Blood. As indicated from the title, the game will offer very similar attributes of the beloved Valve-owned duology that arrived back on the Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3.
On the 4th of July in 2020, Turtle Rock Studios featured the first glimpse of the game with a singular image of concept art for the coming project. But gathered from the limited amount offered on the game, it was suspected that we would not witness the game until 2022 at the earlier. But at The Game Awards this past December, the game studio unveiled a full-length trailer alongside a June release date for the game.
However, the initially-slated launch for Back 4 Blood happens to be too ambitious for Turtle Rock Studios as it announced on Thursday to be pushing the game by four months with a new release date scheduled in October now.

“Turtle Rock Studios is working hard to make Back 4 Blood the best game it can possibly be at launch and the team needs more time to do this,” the developer writes in the letterhead. “We thank our community for its continued support and are excited to share that there will be an open beta this summer.”
Similarly, Dying Light 2 faces a familiar fate. In that, developer Techland after a year of radio silence shared that the upcoming sequel is scheduled to be arriving later this year. However, the team asks its fans to be patient for just a little bit longer. You can read the full report by heading here.
