Dating back to the first Ubisoft Forward presentation, the publisher disclosed that the approaching Assassin’s Creed title would be arriving in mid November. Alongside pairing a new, in-depth gameplay video illustrating what players can find in the newest entry later this fall, it was also a safe date to expect the next-generation versions to arrive as well.
While Microsoft has previously showcased the title during its Xbox 20/20 presentation all the way back in May, details regarding when at least the Xbox Series X version would ship was left undetermined until this week. In that, Ubisoft disclosed that it would be rescheduling the release for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to a sooner date.
The decision comes from the recent announcement made by Microsoft when unveiling the launch date for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. Moreover, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will now be launching the same day as both Xbox systems on November 10th. It is currently unknown as to the whereabouts for the PlayStation 5 version of the game.
Reiterating on the previous gameplay reveal for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla back in May, Ubisoft and Microsoft confirmed that the game will be supported for cross-generation purchasing via Smart Delivery. This allows players to migrate from Xbox One to Xbox Series X without having to repurchase the game. The same can now be said for users who decide on picking up the game for Xbox Series S as well.
Among the approaching Assassin’s Creed game hitting Xbox Series X at launch, there are still a handful of other titles arriving that same day. Those include Dirt 5, Gears Tactics, Tetris Effect, Watch Dogs: Legion, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon. You can read the full report by heading here.
