Xbox is reportedly going to host a showcase this month featuring Forza, Redfall and more

Reports are coming out that Microsoft is set to host an Xbox Showcase event soon that will be presented in the format of a Nintendo Direct and State of Play.

Reported by Windows Central, Xbox will be hosting a “Developer_Direct” which features both Xbox and Bethesda on January 25th at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET and it will show more of Forza Motorsport, Minecraft Legends, Redfall and new content from ZeniMax Online Studios.

The show would of course be live streamed on Twitch & YouTube. The date of the show is also subject to change.

Windows Central says that the event won’t necessarily be as big as an E3 presentation, but it will give us a better look at some of the exclusives on the horizon this year. Starfield won’t be part of this showcase and instead it will most likely be part of a different event later in the year.

Starfield is one of the more anticipated titles coming out from Xbox & Bethesda after it got delayed from its original November 11, 2022 release date. Recently a support page went up for the game which also hinted at the possibility of the game coming out in the first half of 2023.

Windows Central also reported in the last few weeks that Redfall should be launching in early May and it could be as soon as the first week of that month. It’s quite possible we will learn that during this Developer_Direct this month.

In the past we have seen Microsoft host shows like “Inside Xbox” that would show some news from the Xbox Game Studios, but it also focused on a lot of other things within Xbox other than announcements. It’s nice to see that they might actually have other ways to provide updates on all the games they are making.

Xbox Game Studios now consists of a lot of developers and it’s time to see what games they have coming this year and beyond.
