Xbox Store Listing Reveals CrossfireX Beta Will Arrive For Xbox One On June 25

It was over a year ago now that Microsoft announced the very popular first-person shooter Crossfire would be shipping for a console release exclusively on Xbox One alongside a PC version also. Announcing CrossfireX, the new game is a sequel to the ongoing, titular game and would incorporate a story mode campaign to ship with the detailed multiplayer matchmaking the title is notorious for.

During the announcement, Microsoft shared that Quantum Break & Control developer Remedy Entertainment would be conjuring the story mode for the game while Crossfire team Smilegate conjures the reactive online modes for CrossfireX.

In a new finding via the Microsoft Store, users discovered that a beta for Crossfire X – for console at least – will be coming to Xbox One next week, June 25. Here is the synapse that is paired with the new listing:

CrossfireX delivers an intense first-person shooter experience where players are immersed in a sprawling global conflict between the world’s two most formidable private military factions: Global Risk employs veterans of powerful armed forces who use advanced technologies to fight for order and security; Black List employs hardened mercenaries trained in guerilla tactics who fight to destabilize oppressive regimes in the name of freedom. Choose your side and complete objective-based missions across a variety of classic and innovative modes featuring tightly crafted gameplay and cinematic visuals.

As of reporting, it is difficult to determine what exactly will be available with the beta scheduled for next week. Presumably, players can anticipate traditional game modes like Team Deathmatch or Free for All with the inclusion of unique Crossfire game types like Shadow Mode, Mutation Mode, or even Hero Mode.

In other Crossfire-related news as of recent, it was reported that an agreement has been settled to develop a motion picture based on the video game. In that, Tencent and Sony Pictures are said to be involved with the production of the coming video game-adapted film. You can readthe full report by heading here.
