It’s that time of year when we slowly get to hear more news regarding upcoming showcases from large publishers. Summer Game Fest was the first to announce its presentation taking place on June 7, 2024, live from Los Angeles and Ubisoft Forward is the other one confirmed to take place on Monday, June 10. The next to be announced is the yearly Xbox Showcase and this time we are expecting big announcements.
Tom Warren at The Verge has reported that Microsoft is in the process of planning for its Summer Xbox Showcase and it will take place on Sunday, June 9.
Multiple reports as of late have indicated the next Gears of War game will be at this Xbox Showcase and it will be just a tease of the game. Along with that, we can expect to see Call of Duty Black Ops: Gulf War which will feature a deep dive into the gameplay of a campaign mission. Lastly, Tom Warren also says we should expect release dates for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Avowed, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and Call of Duty 2024.
Another game we could see is Fable and last year we did get a teaser trailer of the game that used in-game footage. It will be interesting to see what Playground Games has to show at this year’s Xbox Showcase.
We could also see some new hardware get announced at the showcase as the all-digital white Xbox Series X has leaked online and is expected to launch this Summer.
