No Man's Sky Has Been Reportedly Delayed.

It now looks like No Man’s Sky has been delayed past its expected June release date. Sources close to Kotaku have stated that the game has been pushed to July or August. It was originally supposed to launch June 21st on PlayStation 4 and Steam. The game has been hyped since 2013 when it was revealed by Hello Games. “A second source, who works at GameStop, said they received marketing materials today for No Man’s Sky with the original June 21 release date. However, stores were informed that the release date is no longer correct and that they should cover it up with a “Coming Soon” label”. Source

Microsoft's biggest games are coming to Xbox and PC it seems.

Hot on the heels of the announcement that two new Xbox consoles are in development, it is now being rumoured that Xbox and PC are going to converge. Project Helix, the reported codename for this convergence, is a huge push for the company. Developers recently told Kotaku that, “Microsoft’s new mandate is to release future games, including the flagship Xbox franchise Halo, on both platforms.” Although nothing has been officially announced from Microsoft, certain games are already being developed for both platforms. Halo Wars 2, Sea of Thieves and the now cancelled Fables Legends have been announced to be in development for both platforms. What’s more Forza developer, Turn 10, has also announced that all future titles will be developed for both consoles. With all of the recent rumours being released and reported it looks like Microsoft’s E3 briefing is going to be highly interesting.

Next Xbox to be more powerful than the PS4 Neo.

Microsoft has two new consoles on the horizon according to a report on Kotaku that has since been corroborated with Polygon. One of these consoles is meant to be over four times as powerful as the current model, whilst the other is set to be a slimmed down version of the current model boasting a redesigned controller as well. The latter redesign is scheduled to be revealed at E3 to compete with the PlayStation Neo announcement. The slimmed down version is said to be around 40 percent slimmer that the current model and will more than likely include 4K support as standard. Microsoft is currently pushing for an August release date for this version of the console. The more powerful version however? That console, which is codenamed Scorpio, is scheduled to be released at some point in 2017. It is meant to be an evolution of the current consoles and straddle the line between the next iteration of the Xbox and an evolution of the current system. Microsoft’s point of emphasis for this systems? Power. They have been lagging behind the PlayStation for some time in that element for a while now, with the Xbox operating at a peak of 1.32 teraflops whilst the PlayStation can hit 1.84. The aim for the Scorpio is around 6.

However this was to be short lived as after just a few short hours the banner and mention was back. But it was not all in vain. Just moments after this was announced a final release date was also revealed. That date? The 28th of June so make sure to have your blueprints all mapped out and your materials all ready to go!

Hitman Episode 3: Marrakesh releases May 31st

Square Enix and Io Interactive have announced that Hitman Episode 3 Marrakesh wll release on May 31st. It’s a brand new location in Morocco, and Marrakesh has been built with a maze of alleys, a range of souks that line the medina walls, and a fully fletched shisha café. Moving upwards, players can enjoy the shade on the signature rooftop terraces of Marrakesh. As with any Hitman level, Marrakesh promises players the lure of voyeurism and the thrill of infiltration and it’s something we’ve been working hard on getting just right. Offering two targets, the “Gilded Cage” mission challenges players to eliminate private banker Claus Strandberg, holed up inside the secure Swedish Consulate, and army General Reza Zaydan, protected by his elite squad of soldiers at a temporary headquarters in the heart of the city. Both targets will be challenging to reach and both will of course have some entertaining special moments attached to them that will allow players to dole out some poetic justice. With Marrakesh also comes a lot more live content for players to engage with and the busy markets and locked-down consulate will provide us with great settings for our live features. Episode 3 will has been designed to keep players busy with a wide range of challenges and opportunities and along with an entirely new setting for Contracts mode, Elusive Targets and Escalation Contracts, we are dying to see what you come up with.

New Rocket Labs Arena heading to Rocket League in June.

More content will be added to Rocket League in June and by content we mean a new Rocket Labs Arena is coming. Pillars will be Available in the Rocket Labs playlist for both Online and offline Exhibition play, the visual aesthetic for the new arena will continue its tipped hat towards virtual-reality. The pillars in the map  separate the arena into three lanes, with the goals on each side lining up the center lane. This new arena allows more creativity in gameplay and could be a good competitive map as well. Here is a screenshot of the map

What I think Sony will show off at E3 2016

What I think Sony will show off at E3 2016  It’s almost that time, once again E3 is nearly here. So just like last year where I talked about what to expect from Sony’s E3 keynote, I’ll be doing it again for the company’s E3 keynote for 2016. If you want to read my post last year, you can here http://rectifygaming.com/my-sony-e3-predictions/ PlayStation 4 Neo/4K The PlayStation Neo/4K has been leaked and rumoured for months, but we don’t actually know all that much about it. We do know that developers will be able to increase the frame-rate and graphics of games, however it appears that Sony has made it so that all games must work on the original PlayStation 4. Also rumored Is the ability to play 4K movies, I can see this happening but I think it will be upscaling from 1080p to 4K, I also think the console will start at $350, which is what the PS4 costs right now and the original PS4 will go down to $300 until they have sold all of the units. PlayStation VR Sony has been hard at work on PlayStation VR, and 2016 seems to be the year of VR, with HTC and Samsung and many others releasing VR headsets. Sony however are the only ones making a VR headset for console and also making one of the cheapest gaming VR headsets at €400/$400, along with 70 games so far due for release. I expect Sony to spent a good amount of time on stage talking about the upcoming PSVR. All about the cloud Both Sony and Microsoft have been invested in cloud services however, Sony I think have the right idea of cloud entertainment. PlayStation Now , the company’s gaming service has finally arrived in more European countries after more than a year of just being available in the UK and US, and with more countries to go, I expect Sony to increase the value of the service by putting PS1/PS2 games and maybe PSP and PS Vita games, PS4 games I think will take a few more years till internet connections improve. PlayStation Vue is the company’s cloud streaming video service , which is available just in the US so far. I don’t expect that to change just because only a few countries have PlayStation Video still, but I do think the company will lower the price just a bit more to increase the value while also increasing the number of channels on the service. We could also see some news about the Play Station Network, as this November is the 10 year anniversary of it being launched. Games! E3 is first and foremost about games and Sony has always shown off a lot of games, just like at last year’s keynote, where they announce Horizon Zero Dawn, Final Fantasy 7 remake and more. I expect Sony to bring their A game again to this years conference, showing more Horizon Zero Dawn which is due out this year, along with the Last Guardian, a new God of War game, more Persona 5. Some VR games such as Until Dawn rush of blood , the upcoming Destiny expansion, new IPs from Sucker Punch, Sony Bend Studio and more. While also having a few 3rd games shown off as well. All in all, I think Sony will have another great E3. What do you want Sony to announce at E3?, let us know!.

After a rumor last week, the Spider-man character pack has been officially released for LEGO Marvel’s Avengers.
