While the July release for Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima finally arrived, the PlayStation Studios team already went on to work for the multiplayer add-on, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends which arrived in October. However, there is a possibility that the developer is might be already commencing development for a sequel already as suggested by an update on a LinkedIn profile for one employee.
But what is officially underway is beyond what fans could presume to be manifested in the game’s short life already. In that, Deadline reports that PlayStation Pictures and 87Eleven Entertainment are collaborating to create a Ghost of Tsushima film. The production is said to be directed by John Wick director, Chad Stahelski.
Howbeit, there has yet to be word on the casting for the movie as of writing. But despite that, actor that portrayed protagonist Jin Sakai in Ghost of Tsushima shares his enthusiasm to reprise his role for the motion picture if casted for the film. Daisuke Tsuji went to Twitter to make the announcement.
Tsuji also went to the lengths to issue his ambition to even act for potential nudity scenes that were also present in the titular video game. Similarly, we have witnessed actors demanding to be casted for a role in a video game. Previously, former WWE Superstar Dave Bautista boasted his enthusiasm to play the role of Marcus Fenix in the coming Gears of War Movie in back 2018.
More recently is relevance to Ghost of Tsushima, Yakuza franchise producer Daisuke Sato shared that the possibilities for Japan-exclusive release Yakuza Ishin coming to the west has been heightened thanks to the reception for the 2020-released title. You can read the full report by heading here.
