After Leaking Online, Rockstar Games Uploads Grand Theft Auto VI Teaser With 2025 Release Window

For more than a decade now, Grand Theft Auto V remains the latest entry in the series – if you don’t consider the 2013 game’s re-releases for newer platforms. However, things were expected to change after inter-shakings were taking place over at Rockstar Games. Previously, a Metacritic listing for the game appeared which suggested more on the game is to be shared soon.

It wasn’t until November that Bloomberg reported the new game would have an official update come later that week. And, as it was told, Rockstar Games addressed the expected Grand Theft Auto VI would be unveiled in December. This was recently followed-up by a new statement from the developer that Grand Theft Auto VI would receive a teaser trailer on December 5th.

However, after leaking online, the official teaser trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI was uploaded by Rockstar Games prematurely. You can watch the footage in the video below:

Via a post on X, Rockstar Games wrote: “Our trailer has leaked so please watch the real thing on YouTube,” and listed the video in the post. One of the biggest takeaways from the reveal is the prior tips from Bloomberg as well. In that, the game would be set in Vice City; feature duo male-female protagonists; scheduled to release nearing or in 2025.

Additionally, it is also verified that the game’s previously leaked footage from over a year ago does foreshadow much of the mechanics for the new title. This includes the pair’s hunger to hold up stores, improved visuals, and even the overhaul for in-game AI as characters react organically alongside law enforcement also responding more life-like.
