The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct is only a few weeks away from now and we are still waiting on important details of the new console. One of the biggest speculations has been surrounding the price of the Switch 2. According to industry analysts who regularly communicate with Nintendo and its partners expect the price tag is around $400 or more.
This report comes from Bloomberg where they also mention the Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to be “the biggest launch in video game industry history”.
There are high expectations for its software lineup in the first year with Mario Kart 9, a new 3D Mario, Metroid Prime 4, and Pokemon Legends Z-A. What’s more important for Nintendo is the third-party support they are expected to receive on the Switch 2 including Call of Duty.
A release window hasn’t been officially announced for the Switch 2. It has been predicted the console will be releasing around late Spring to early Summer. Nintendo is also reportedly anticipating to sell 20 million units within its first year of release.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct takes place on April 2, 2025, at 9:00 AM ET / 6:00 AM PT.
Will you buy the Switch 2 if it costs over $400?
