Although April has remained a very tame month so far for Apex Legends, March truly introduced new plans for the ongoing battle royale. At the halfway point of the month, Respawn Entertainment officially launched pre-registration for Apex Legends Mobile. The move – whilst only unique to Google Play Store currently – does suggest the game’s release is very close to arriving.

Additionally, Apex Legends just finished up with the recent Warriors Collection Event that took place. In that, Control returned with a bevy of new unique cosmetics for players to stock up on. At the same time, next-generation machines also received an enhancement. In that, Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 officially welcomed native versions with plans to integrate 120Hz support later on.

This week welcomes more content with the Unshackled Event. Namely the Flashpoint game mode returns with a new take on Olympus after the initial introduction of the game type back during the Aftermarket Collection Event. You can watch the Unshackled Event trailer in the video below:

“Play on Olympus as you never have before in the return of the popular limited-time mode, Flashpoint! Don’t have time to bleed? No worries!” the overview reads. “In Flashpoint, healing items are removed from the loot pool and replaced by “Flashpoint Zones”. These zones are large areas that heal all Legends inside them. If you’re looking to restore your health, you might have to fight for it!”

What felt like only a few short weeks is already two months ago with the launch of Season 12 – Defiance. But moving forward, the next Season for Apex Legends is imminent with less than a month away. Are you excited for the next jump in content coming very soon?

Apex Legends’ Unshackled Event goes live from April 19, 2022 to May 3, 2022 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
