Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR Receives November 16th Release Date

While Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set to release in less than a handful of weeks away, there is another title in the franchise planned to ship this holiday. After being allegedly shelved when plans fell through at then-Oculus, Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR. The game stands as a standalone experience which revisits classic eras of the series solely through virtual reality. But that is not all.

In fact, Insider Gaming which originally spoke the flame on the VR title coming also reported a sequel is already in the pipeline over at Ubisoft. Moreover, the follow-up to Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR is to include more characters & settings fitted to the series’ world. However, details remain light on when that will come or how much different it will be from the original. But, fans were still left uncertain on when the first game is officially coming.

However, Ubisoft this week via X confirms that Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR is arriving this November. Additionally, pre-orders are now live via the Meta Store as well.

“For the first time in franchise history, step into the world of Assassin’s Creed and play in first-person. Embody legendary Assassins Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Kassandra, and Connor as you discover untold chapters of each Assassin’s story. Encounter familiar faces such as Leonardo Da Vinci in the Italian Renaissance, in a story full of harrowing conflict, stolen treasure and revenge. In Ancient Greece, play a central role in an intense struggle. During the American Revolution, get caught up in a world of espionage, intrigue and betrayal.”

The description continues: “Explore iconic historical cities including Venice, Athens, Colonial Boston and more. Embark on quests with the autonomy to decide the best way to achieve your objectives. The campaign features open map environments with 360-degree navigation, allowing you to climb and parkour anywhere. Meet and interact with civilians and historical figures, all of whom react to your VR actions.”

Adding: “Engage in realistic combat moves as you use your hands to block, parry, counterattack, and duel a variety of enemies. A wide range of weapons including bow and arrows, the Hidden Blade, swords, tomahawk, throwing knives, crossbow, and smoke bombs attach to your full-body avatar. Distract enemies by throwing objects found in the environment or use the comprehensive stealth system to evade them.”
