
Predating back more than a month, developer DICE & publisher Electronic Arts went on to establish that Battlefield is to ship in 2021. Even more, the first-person shooter franchise is also told to be dipping its toes into mobile as well. However, the two disclosed that more details on the smart phone version is to arrive next year in 2022.
Later on, it appeared that DICE was hinting at a potential reveal for Battlefield this June with a blatant tweet mentioning the mid-year month. In a separate tweet recently, DICE went on to post a GIF which issued an official unveiling to take place on June 9. But, no further details on the aforementioned reveal was pressed upon.
Now on Tuesday, DICE has officially revealed the new Battlefield 2042. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:

Take on massive experiences, from updated multiplayer modes like Conquest and Breakthrough to the all-new Hazard Zone.”
According to the Xbox Store, there is also an upcoming open beta for Battlefield 2042 for players that pre-order the game. However, there is no listed date for when the playtest will arrive. Additionally, DICE also shares a gameplay demo will be held on June 13, presumably the upcoming Xbox + Bethesda Showcase this Sunday.
