For those that might not recall from earlier on in 2021, publisher Electronic Arts promised that this current spring would find an official unveiling for the next Battlefield game. “The team is focused and the game is ahead of our internal milestones. We’ll reveal the game in the spring, and deliver a defining Battlefield experience for our players,” Andrew Wilson, Electronic Arts CEO told in a previous earnings report.
However, little detail on the game has been shared. Although DICE & Electronic Arts did go to verify the game’s release for this holiday, the pair did not showcase anything in regards to the latest entry in the series. Even more, the two went on to elaborate its plans to enter the mobile market with Battlefield next year as well.
But while fans continue to get impatient, DICE seems to be poking at a June reveal. On Twitter this past Monday, the official Battlefield account presses something to happen next month.
As to what might also entail following the reveal is other marketing with the next Battlefield game. In that, the firm has worked with Microsoft to feature the game in the past and is likely to follow-up with this year’s title as well. One leak @_Tom_Henderson_ on Twitter indicates that 2021’s Battlefield could find itself releasing on Xbox Game Pass at launch at the end of the year.
Additionally, we could find a reveal next month followed by a potential demo in the following July. Electronic Arts on Tuesday framed July 22 to be when this year’s EA Play Live will be taking place. You can read the full report by heading here.
