Before June even arrived, the video game industry had already entered the event season. Around the kick off for the summer, publishers & developers congregate to showcase new titles and projects on the way. So far, Sony has featured its upcoming entries already with its PlayStation Showcase just last week. And that is only the beginning.

Come June, over a handful of teams & organizers already scheduled presentations to reveal new titles. That includes the Meta Quest Showcase, Summer Game Fest, PC Gaming Show, Xbox Games Showcase, and Ubisoft Forward. August is also piling up with the likes of Gamescom, THQ Nordic Digital Showcase, and QuakeCon also.

Now adding to the list is Devolver Digital. The indie game publisher revealed its new Devolver Direct featuring its ‘new’ nostalgic mascot Volvy is make an official comeback. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“The world’s most beloved video game mascot returns with new game reveals, announcements, and surprises – it’s Volvy!” the description for the teaser trailer reads. Evidently, Devolver Direct 2023 will be an appendage of Summer Game Fest and held the same day. The new show gimmick surrounds the original mascot Volvy as last year’s Devolver Direct featured a Suda51 mecha host.

Regarding other shows on the horizon for this year, Nintendo is planning to host its own live event in Seattle, Washington.
