While it is no secret that the 2023 E3 show is not happening this year, there is a flood of organized events & shows that will be taking place during and around this summer. In June, it is already confirmed that Summer Game Fest, Xbox Games Showcase, PC Gaming Show, and Ubisoft Forward are all scheduled for the month.
Following into the latter August, it is revealed that Gamescom is to return in Cologne, Germany alongside QuakeCon & the THQ Digital Showcase as well. Not to mention the following month in September where Nintendo will host its first North American Nintendo Live in Seattle, Washington. But another show is being added to the schedule.
Recently Meta announced that a new Meta Quest Showcase will be held at the start of June. There is an announcement trailer you can watch in the video below:
“This is a banner year for VR, and the third annual Meta Quest Gaming Showcase is our biggest celebration of the depth and breadth of content across the Meta Quest Platform yet. We’ll have over 40 minutes of content, including a brand-new pre-show of game updates and debut trailers to help you count down before the Showcase kicks into high gear, as well as a post-show developer roundtable for a deep-dive conversation around some upcoming games,” the blog post reads.
“And as in years past, you can expect new game announcements, gameplay first-looks, updates to existing games, and more during the main event.” What players can expect is a slew of new announcements and anticipated updates. One being the promised Meta Quest 2 port for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas many fans are anticipating.
Additionally, there is also heavy claims which tell Ubisoft is committed to the Assassin’s Creed VR game as well. So much so that the firm reportedly discussed work on a sequel for the first game that has yet to be officially revealed. You can read the full report by heading here.
