Amazon Prime Video released the Fallout Television Series in April earlier this year, and it was a huge success. It reached over 65 million viewers within its first two weeks and received 16 Emmy Nominations. In July, an Amazon executive stated that Fallout Season 2 was ahead of schedule, but didn’t give a time frame on when we could expect it to release.
With New York Comic Con happening this weekend, Screen Rant held an interview with Leslie Uggams, who starred in the show as Betty Pearson, the overseer in Vault 33. The actress explained in the interview that Season 2 will officially start filming in November.
Below is the interview with Screen Rant:
Leslie Uggams: “That is an amazing, amazing show. I am with the Vault People, so I didn’t get to see what the Earth people were doing. So when it came on, I was blown away. But Betty’s got some things up her sleeve. Just stay tuned.”
Screen Rant: “Have you guys already started shooting season 2?”
Leslie Uggams: “We start November. I’m excited about it.”
This is great news for fans who enjoyed Fallout Season 1 and can’t wait to see what’s next. No other details have been given for the next season of Fallout.
The first season of Fallout had a huge impact on all of the Fallout games including Fallout 76 as the game reached over 20 million total players in its lifetime. Fallout 4 reached over 140K concurrent players this year for the first time since 2015 as well.
