As the year is coming to a close, finally, there is still one notable event that the video game industry annual indulges in from across the globe: The Game Awards. While the show is only live for one night, millions tune in to reflect on the achievements, milestones, and hallmark entries that arrived in the past twelve months. And as you would expect for an awards ceremony, some titles are also recognized for its outstanding performance in respected categories.
But alongside the expected, there are also some unanticipated reveals that will take place. Traditionally, fans while witnessing which games rightly receive its award are also viewing for the announcements that take place. Although the plenty are kept a secret, some firms nod to the idea that you would want to be watching for something exciting.
On Twitter this week, Sony Interactive Entertainment encouraged that its users should be keeping a close eye to the livestreamed show. While not giving context on the finer details, it is suspected a new announcement in regards to PlayStation will be present.

In the bulk of announcements that took place last year, Sony Interactive Entertainment did participate with a trailer revealing Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima will be arriving in summer 2020. So in similar degree, we might learn more of an upcoming PlayStation 5 title or potentially a new announcement altogether.
Not to entertain the idea of a farfetched reveal, such as Silent Hill which Rectify Gaming has reported to be very unlikely, there is more tangible ground to suspect an announcement for already announced titles. Projects such as Returnal, Gran Turismo 7, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart are all possibilities seeing the games are scheduled to release in the first half of next year. Or potentially even Horizon Forbidden West or God of War: Ragnorak, but that is lees likely.
Elsewhere in the past couple of days, Microsoft did a similar poke to The Game Awards as the Xbox company suggested fans tune in on Thursday. Projected what is on the menu, it is in the favor of Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga with how little we learned from its reveal last Game Awards. You can read the full report by heading here.
