While the extensive hinting indicated that the next Forza Horizon title is to take place just south of the United States border, many fans kept quiet until the announcement was made later in June. And as many hoped, even though it’s not Japan, many cheered on the next game taking place in Mexico when Playground Games officially revealed Forza Horizon 5 on Sunday.

However, there were some concerns as to how the game will ship according to the developer themselves. In that, it was told the default mode for the Xbox Series X version for Forza Horizon 5 would perform at 30 frames per second. But, with its 2018 predecessor hitting 60 fps via the next-gen upgrade, many question the integrity of the fall release.

But, Playground Games’ Creative Director Mike Brown when answering a fan’s concerns on Twitter clarified there will be a 4K/ 60 frames per second feature for the game when it ships later in November.

While the original perception of the game’s performance only appeared to be of concern to Xbox Series X, the Xbox Series S was then presumed to perform at the same 30 fps whilst targeting a lower resolution. But, Brown also clarified that the entry-level console is to still target 60 frames per second, however, the resolution will be aimed for 1080p. It is still uncertain what other options will be available for the Xbox Series S with Forza Horizon 5.

Similarly, Microsoft Flight Simulator fell victim to the same instance. Although the game is a hard rock to push on PC alone, it was clarified by Asobo Studio that the game will perform at 30 frames per second as well. But, displays that offer Variable Refresh Rate could vary that. You can read the full report by heading here.

Are you glad Forza Horizon 5 will support 4K/60 fps?

Forza Horizon 5 ships on November 9, 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
