Goldeneye 007 Announced For Xbox Game Pass

Exploring avenues as to what other beloved IP that is hiding under some Xbox Game Studio teams, Rare is a great specimen. Already, one game is in development. Yes, Perfect Dark is receiving a remake and developer The Initiative is underway with it. Recently, word broke out that the game is being co-developed by Crystal Dynamics as well which is a plus.

However, there is some concerns for the project with leadership at the game studio. A report surfaced previously mentioning a hierarchy from those helming the team with poor management, negligence, and overall a saddening state for a new team at Xbox. Digressing from the topic, Rare is also working on another fan-favorite moving forward.

On Tuesday, Rare announced that Goldeneye 007 is officially coming to Xbox Game Pass later in the future. You can watch the teaser trailer in the video below:

“25 years after its original release, experience GoldenEye 007 faithfully recreated for Xbox consoles. Includes achievements, 4K resolution and a smoother framerate – even in split-screen local multiplayer! Coming soon to @XboxGamePass, the developer writes in the announcement from a post on Twitter at the time. It appears it will be included as part of the previously released Rare Replay.

Additionally, Rare is still occupied with a separate project as well. In that, Everwild is reported to be in early stages of development namely to blame the lack of direction the new IP is heading.
