Although the game was initially scheduled to release for holiday 2020, the release date happened to be an unfortunate overshot for developer Ember Labs announcing its delay for Kena: Bridge of Spirits. Back in September, the developer pressed that despite the progress made on the project, hardships became more overwhelming deeming a new release date for the game is needed.
At the time, it was disclosed that Kena: Bridge of Spirits would be scheduled to release sometime in Q1 2021. But, no further details were provide to include an approximate understanding as for when the title will launch. But given how broad of a timeframe the first financial quarter will be for the coming year, a new update has emerged on the game.
Although it does not provide an exact date, it is understood that Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be releasing in March this year. The information was discovered in the latest PlayStation 5 promotional video which you can watch below:
“Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us Part II footage captured on PS4. All other gameplay footage was captured on PS5, the subtext at the end of the promo reads. “Kena: March 2021”. And, of course, there is no other details to follow for an exact date. In the same CES trailer, Sony Interactive Entertainment also issues a new 2023 release window for Capcom’s Pragmata.
In other related new regarding Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Ember Labs pressed that the game will be eligible for a free next-generation upgrade.
