While Netflix’s The Witcher season one kicked off to be an instant hit on the entertainment streaming platform, progress for the second season has proved to be a large hassle to fulfill during the arising COVID-19 pandemic. Back in early 2020, filming was told to cease for the time being in ensuring the safety of the crew and actors for the coming production. But, filming did later commence to conclude in preparation for the release of season two.

In the midst of the wait, Netflix did announce that a prequel miniseries is underway for The Witcher. Titled ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin’, the production is to take place before the events of Geralt of Rivia and feature context around the first Witcher to bear the title. Not to mention the separate Netflix anime, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, The Witcher fans are sure to be busy in the coming months.

In a new string of images provided by The Daily Mail, there appears to be more context surrounding season two. It appears that the latest filming of The Witcher in Saunton Sands, Devon looks to be of The Wild Hunt.

The indication is sparked by Redanian Intelligence that previously tipped accurate details for Netflix’s The Witcher in the past. According to the outlet, locals that are viewing the filming take place are said to confirm that The Wild Hunt is what Netflix is filming for in Saunton Sands. However, the website does clarify that perhaps it is not directly tied to previously leaked images of the reuniting of Geralt & Yennefer from last fall.

In other news regarding The Witcher, CD Projekt Red did comment that the next-generation releasing for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is to arrive on the latter segment of 2021. You can read the full report by heading here.
