Meta Acquires Camouflaj, Armature Studios, And Twisted Pixel

While the acquisition race continues to fuel chatter behind Xbox’x Microsoft and PlayStation’s Sony Interactive Entertainment, many should not forget the complete onslaught being performed by Facebook now-Meta. The firm for more than two years has continues on a campaign to continue purchasing talent strictly for virtual reality. The firm has even taken studios known for unique content.

In that, then-Oculus bought up Ready at Dawn and Sanzaru Games – both of which made exclusive content for PlayStation. One of the firm’s most recent acquisitions took place in July last year when the firm purchased BigBox VR which is most noted for the work on Population One. But, the firm has more according to its recent announcement.

From Games at Connect 2022, Meta announces its established acquisition for developers Camouflaj, Armature Studios, and Twisted Pixel.

We announced during Connect that the Camouflaj team recently joined Oculus Studios, as did Twisted Pixel (Wilson’s Heart, Path of the Warrior) and Armature Studio, the team behind Resident Evil 4 on Meta Quest 2. It’ll be a while before we can reveal what they’re working on, but we’re excited to continue working with and supporting these developers as they bring ambitious and forward-thinking games to VR.

For better context, Camouflaj is yet another developer ranked in closely to the likes of Ready at Dawn and Sanzaru Games. Previously, the developer worked on Marvel’s Iron Man VR which released exclusively on PlayStation VR. Now, the game is said to be coming to the Meta Quest in the near future.

Additionally, Armature Studios is most known for its efforts on the fall 2021 release Resident Evil 4 which came to the Meta Quest 2. What is more unique is Twisted Pixel as the team was originally known for its time at Microsoft with the release of The Maw before departing and releasing titles Wilson’s Heart & Path of the Warrior.
