Under the array of things Minecraft has gone to offer, it still came at a surprise discovering that then-Mojang would be working on delivering a dungeon-like project for the ongoing title. When it was revealed that the team was literally putting ‘dungeon’ into Minecraft, it would stand out from what we already perceived for the game. Following into post-launch, we witnessed the game evolved with add-on expansions and additional features.

Most recently, Mojang Studios told that the DLC for Minecraft Dungeons would arrive in the form of seasonal adventures which would welcome uniquely timed content during different parts of the year. These additions would moderately bring new experiences whilst not overarching the rest of the game like a traditional expansion.

Now closing in on two years since the initial release of Minecraft Dungeons, Mojang Studios this week celebrates the game welcoming more than 15 million players entering the game since it hit store shelves.

Minecraft Dungeons has hit the staggering milestone of 15 million players since the launch of the game, and while 15 million also happens to be the number of my failed Tower attempts, we want to celebrate the former with a grand wintery event together with all you wonderful adventurers!

Elsewhere in recent weeks, Mojang Studios also helmed another landmark achievement for Minecraft: the game over on YouTube logged over 1 trillion hours watched since the first ever video of the game was uploaded. Changes within Minecraft continue to run rampant, however, the community that continues returning to the game has remained the same supportive bunch for over a decade.

Looking ahead, Minecraft is slowly churning out progress for its next update, The Wild. Back during Minecraft Live in late 2021, it was revealed that the new title update would welcome an overhaul to swamp biomes with new frog mobs alongside new trees and other relevant additions.
