If you may recall from this October at Minecraft Live, you can remember Mojang Studios is already working on a separate update ahead of Caves & Cliffs Part II. In that, the Swedish game studio is conjuring The Wild Update: this new addition will welcome a revamped swamp biome alongside featuring the long-promised deep dark as well just above bedrock.

In a new trailer released this week, The Wild Update is now live on all platforms. You can watch the launch trailer for The Wild Update in the video below:

“Hey. What are you doing? Why are you on Minecraft.net when you could be at sea in a boat with a chest? Or hiding from the warden in the deep dark? Personally, I’m late for an appointment with a frog in the Nether so I really don’t have time for this,” Sofia Fankis, Minecraft.net writer reveals. “That’s right, The Wild Update is finally here!”

Additionally, new information has released in terms of the Minecraft movie. Yes, the film adaptation is still in the works. In a story from The Ankler, Napoleon Dynamite director Jared Hess is helming the production. Atop of that, the report also indicates that Aquaman actor Jason Mamoa is to also be involved with a lead role in the upcoming film as well.

For the time being, watching Minecraft on YouTube is all you can do until more on the film surfaces. Since the inception of the game, YouTube revealed more than 1 trillion hours of the game has been watched on its platform over the past decade. You can read the full report by heading here.
