Although Nintendo continues to provide a steady flow of new and tasteful titles for its hardware, players are eager to see what the next console has to offer. Unlike the past few years with uncertainty in acquiring new systems, the Japanese firm did share its initiative to battle resellers. It told that production will be ramped up in anticipation for consumers to purchase the next console directly from respected retailers.
Additionally, the expectancy for the system is aimed for sometime next year. Officially from Nintendo, it said a proper reveal will be held sometime before the end of the fiscal year this coming March. What’s more, new software is always a focus that players are excited to see showcasing the advances of new hardware.
Of course, legacy IPs like Super Mario as well as The Legend of Zelda will persevere no matter the system, but what else? According to the recently held shareholders meeting in late June, Nintendo confirms that it is looking to explore its vault of franchises atop of new IPs for the next Nintendo machine, general manager Shinya Takashi explained.
“We have released a number of software titles that allow users to experience new ways of playing. We are considering various options for the future. We are considering development for both customers who have enjoyed our previous characters and customers who want to enjoy something new,” Takashi’s statement provided by @NStyles reads.
While many are looking at new titles including Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokémon Legends: Z-A for the new system, Nintendo could also be hinting at more as of this week. A new cryptic teaser went out simply titled ‘Emio’ which appears to be a new mature horror title published by Nintendo. You can read the full report by heading here.
