nintendo direct

The following that continues to tail behind any move made by video game giant Nintendo is currently left uneasy as continued reports suggest that the firm might not be holding a June Direct. Especially with no E3 presence due to the ongoing pandemic for this year, it does trouble fans that there is no structured online presentation or showcase to distribute new details on upcoming projects.

The report came last month as VentureBeat reported that Nintendo will not be venturing to host its annual virtual show as it’s nearly tradition every June to do so. And the company being Nintendo, the firm does not necessarily need E3 to platform the Direct since viewership for each presentation ticks impressive highs without needing a physical event to be propped against.

Now in a new statement from the outlet, it is shared that the initial statement might be applied for the entire duration of 2020. The website explains that Nintendo has begun speaking with associated parties on the topic releasing that plans for the latter of this year is not in favor for a Nintendo Direct.

Earlier this month, I reported Nintendo isn’t planning a Direct for June. As an update to that, I’ll add that Nintendo isn’t planning a Direct at all for now. It’s telling development partners not to wait for a Direct even if they have a big announcement.

While there is no expect presentation to take place, there is however anticipated projects expected to arrive. One being the already announced Paper Mario: The Origami King which is slated to ship later on this coming July. Aside from pre-existing announcements, there are alleged properties from the Nintendo archive shared to ship later on as well. As for when will be hard to determine since there is no structure to anticipate Nintendo announcements/releases.

One being the Pikmin 3 Deluxe which was reported by VentureBeat last week. The outlet suggested that the 2013 Wii U title will be expected for an updated Switch version later on. There are corroborating claims that also go to make the recent report structurally sound for an expect announcement in the coming weeks.

Another is a bevy of previous 3D Super Mario titles that are shared to be re-released for Nintendo Switch as well. It was presumed the titles would be shared during this year’s E3 in celebration for the series’ 35th anniversary, but that is not the case since the show has been called for 2020. Howbeit, titles like Super Mario 3D World are some to be expected for an announcement as well.

What do you hope comes from Nintendo if there is no Direct scheduled for the coming future?
