Nintendo Switch Online June 2023 Update Features Sega Genesis Refresh With Crusader of Centy, Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, Landstalker, And The Revenge of Shinobi

Since this spring, and evidently before that too, Nintendo continues to bolster its Nintendo Switch Online virtual library(s) growing list of titles for its subscribers. In April, Pokémon Stadium hit Nintendo 64 alongside Pulseman, Kid Chameleon, Flicky, and Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition for Sega Genesis; all part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier.

Additionally, the service went on to feature Super Mario Advance, Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, and Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3 as well for the Game Boy Advanced virtual console. Base users even received some attention with Kirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumble, Blaster Master: Enemy Below, Harvest Moon, and Mystery Tower as well. The most recent is the welcoming for Fire Emblem officially releasing earlier this month.

Now in a new stretch of games that were announced this week, another batch of four games for Sega Genesis is now out for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack – Crusader of Centy, Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, Landstalker, and The Revenge of Shinobi. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“Quick! Like a ninja! If you blinked, you may not have noticed that four more classic games were just added to the SEGA Genesis™ – Nintendo Switch Online library and are playable right now: The Revenge of Shinobi, Ghouls ’n Ghosts, Landstalker and Crusader of Centy. You can play them all on your Nintendo Switch™ system with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership,” Nintendo writes.

Further entertaining legacy titles, Nintendo in a surprise announcement last week confirmed that the original Pikmin 1 & Pikmin 2 are available for Nintendo Switch. The original pair received a shadow drop announcement and is also confirmed to hit physical retailers later this year. You can read the full report by heading here.
