Through reliving the memories of Wii Sports, Nintendo launched Nintendo Switch Sports back in April 2022. And since then, the game has climbed in popularity. This past fall, we witnessed select markets welcome the game as part of a bundle during the holidays. As a result, even more players explored the activities of Spocco Square.

According to one report back in May last month, it was revealed that Nintendo Switch Sports outsold Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 – a record-selling release over on PlayStation. And it appears the numbers is not going to cease with more content coming to the game. Previously, we witnessed this with the addition of golf then.

Now at the Nintendo Direct, another sport is coming – basketball. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

“Basketball is coming to Spocco Square in the Nintendo Switch Sports game as a free update! Use motion controls to sink as many baskets as you can within the time limit in the solo Three-Point Challenge,”reads the overview for the upcoming update in the Nintendo press release.

“If you’re looking for friendly competition, then up to four players*** can compete locally in Five-Streak Battle or Three-Point Contest, and you can dribble, pass and score in two-on-two matches locally*** or online**. This free update for Nintendo Switch Sports dunks its way onto Nintendo Switch this summer”
