It shows year-after-year the continued performance from The Game Awards is further evolving with new viewership & milestones being met as every show arrives. For 2021, it was revealed that record viewership was at its height with 23.3 million. Additionally, a new record for tweets on the show was made at 1.6 million alongside YouTube watchtime was at an all-time high at 1.75 million hours.

As for 2022, it was already announced previously that The Game Awards is to return this December on the 8th come next month. Furthermore, this year will also feature the show to air in select IMAX theaters as well just like Summer Game Fest. In a recent announcement, The Game Awards & Discord pair up for a new arrangement to feature voting and viewing channels for this year’s show.
