
PlayStation Productions is still running off the high that was Tom Holland’s Uncharted. It was after the box office response that Sony Pictures CEO Tom Rothman confirmed a franchise will spawn from the response of the first release. Even more, director Ruben Fleischer went on to confirm he is involved in a film adaptation for Jak & Daxter as well atop of more Uncharted.
Additionally, fans are still awaiting new information on the upcoming Twisted Metal TV show also under the PlayStation Productions banner. Last year, it was reported that Anthony Mackey (Falcon and the Winter Soldier) will be starring in the upcoming show. More surprising to discover that the TV series is to be airing on Peacock when it releases.
From Variety, the casting now expands with four new namely additions to the television show. In that, Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Thomas Haden Church (Spider-Man 3), Neve Campbell (Scream), and Will Arnett (Arrested Development). More on the roles for each actor, Beatriz plays Quiet, Church plays Agent Stone, Campell is casted as Raven, and Arnett is to voice the iconic Sweet Tooth.
Elaborating more on where this show will land can be brought into a better perspective with the character that Campbell is portraying. In that, Raven is a unique role for the Twisted Metal universe as she was introduced in Twisted Metal: Black which released for the PlayStation 2 in 2001. The game is ranked to be one of the most notable entries in the franchise.
This is not the first instance that Arnett has left some impression on the video game industry before. In the past, he has worked with DC Comics during the DC Fandome to present the new Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League & Gotham Knights games which were announced at the presentation.
